Titheringtons - Paediatric Response Bag

Appearance & Carrying
This response bag is available in green, red, blue and black but can be custom made to suit your colour depending on the volume of order. The workmanship and quality of the bag is immediately obvious.
It has a fluorescent yellow strip 2.3 cm in diameter running along the lower portion of the front and sides of the bag.
It can be carried with an easily removable shoulder strap or by the carrying handle, making it comfortable as a shoulder or grab bag. It comes with a removable base which is fitted with five small plastic studded areas. Titheringtons supply replacement bases for this bag and they are of a high grade water resistant industrial nylon. It is held in place firmly with velcro and is black in colour.
Interior
The bag is very secure with large double zips of good quality. These have sturdy loops that can be easily locked if required.
Unlike most bags, the Paediatric Response Bag can be opened right up and laid flat for ease of access to your well-organized kit – a paediatrician’s heaven. Inside the main section are 8 individually colour coded pouches (10 x 5 x 38 cm HDL), each one labelled with their own colour name (useful if you suffer from colour blindness or to prevent you removing the wrong one in a hurry). The central zip of the pouches also enables them to be opened wide and placed on the floor to help protect your equipment before use. The rear of the pouches is made with a meshed fabric that gives them a lighter and more flexible feel. There is also a small clear plastic pocket sewn over the centre portion of the fabric for easy labelling of the pouch contents. The base of each pouch is made of nylon on the inside and thick velcro on the outside (so it can securely attach to the body of the bag). These pouches can be used to colour code weights or age ranges. This helps remove some of the stress when responding to paediatric emergencies.
Value & Verdict
This bag is well made and of high quality. Its only downside is its price – but you pay for what you get. This is a good buy, especially if you are part of a response team or need a comprehensive paediatric emergency bag. We like it!
