An Introduction to Tactical Emergency Medicine Support Course I.T.E.M.S

Course Aim
To introduce pre-hospital healthcare professionals to the concepts, differences, modalities and provision of tactical medicine in the civilian environment.
This is achieved with a core structure of theoretical and practical sessions approached with demonstrations, small group work and 'master-class' type teaching.
It is suitable for those professionals who have a need for or wish to learn more about the provision of tactical medicine.
The course is 'introductory' and is delivered by NHS paramedics, Police (firearms) HPC registered paramedics, Doctors and firearms officers. A CPD certificate will be issued to those completing both days.

Course Venue
Police Headquarters, Kingston Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex
All of the instructors donated their time for free. Any profit made will go to equiping the first paediatric care transfer ambulance in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Our aim is to buy the necessary equipment and ship it to the hospital and then to provide training for the staff on this new equipment and transfer of the critically ill.
